Mattresses
A mattress is used to keep over a bed to lie and sleep. They can be kept either on the floor directly or on a platform like a cot to have a sound sleep. In olden days mattresses were filled with straw and feather and hence the pressure was not evenly distributed on the human body. This leads to pain in the body. But now tempur materials are used for making mattresses. They are made of spring core materials or materials like latex or viscoelastic. The tempur technology helps in the proper distribution of pressure over the body helping people to have a proper sleep.
There are different types of mattresses based on the type of material used to provide tempur. The main categories of mattresses include foam mattresses, air mattresses and inner spring mattress. The dimensions and size of mattresses may vary depending on the brand which is manufacturing it. Foundations for mattresses can also be made of wood, steel or box-springs.
Upholstery layers of mattresses cover them on the top and give the cushioning comfort to people while using it. Various factors like tempur, hygiene, skin conditions, support at edges, stability etc. determine the quality of a mattress.
